The Small Church That Love Built

Our Staff

SENIOR PASTOR Dr. RUSS MUNCH

We are excited to welcome our new pastor Dr.. Russ Munch and his wife Carol.  They are from the farmlands of Nebraska.  Dr. Munch and his wife Carol feel called by God to serve and minister in the local church.  He has been a pastor since 1995 and considers it a privilege to share the Gospel from the pulpit as well as in day to day service.  They both believe living the faith is what God desires of them and growing disciples of Jesus their primary responsibility.

Dr. Munch believes Scripture tells us there is more than one way to worship.  Our church has two styles of worship, Contemporary Praise and Worship at 8:30 and a Traditional Service at 11:00.  Dr. Munch has always been active with all ages and believes the church is a family where everyone is welcome and has a place and purpose.

PASTOR EVERETT McCOLLUM

Reverend McCollum is currently serving as our Minister of Pastoral Care.  Rev. McCollum is a retired Methodist Pastor and formerly served as pastor of Trinity First United Methodist Church.  He and his wife Lorene have been involved in mission field trips and are tremendous assets to our church.  Lorene makes fantastic gumbo!

Debbie was born in Holly Grove, Arkansas, where her Mother still resides.  After graduating from Holly Grove High School, Debbie attended Draughon Business College. Debbie has worked in the insurance industry, in a day care, and has been self-employed.  She joined the Trinity FUMC staff in March of 1997.  Debbie is married to Rusty Barrett.  Their daughter Natalie teaches algebra at Trinity High School.  Their son Daniel is a criminal investigator with the Walker County Sheriff's Department.   They are parents of Debbie's granddaughter Hannah Barrett and a grandson.  Debbie became a member of Trinity FUMC in 2001.   When Debbie isn't serving Our Lord, she can be found reading, sewing, or gardening.  But she most enjoys just being with family.

CHOIR DIRECTOR DALE HOUSTON

Our Chancel Choir is led by a man with outstanding musical experience.  Dale, Houston was born in Clovis, New Mexico, but was educated in the Denton, Texas public school system.  After graduation from Denton High School, Dale went on to North Texas to acquire a B.A., M.Ed., and Ed.D.Dale has utilized his musical talent by teaching in public schools and in Texas universities.  He also spent some time as a real estate broker. Dale is married to Deborah, who rivals Dale with a magical singing voice.  He and Deborah have four daughters:  Lauri, Kimberly, Kelly, and Alison. Dale doesn't spend all his time with music.  He's a pretty good gardener, and also enjoys cooking.  But as you can tell by his photo, he spends a lot of time with his pets.  Just ask him!
