Each Sunday, about 150 members and visitors will enter our doors seeking to better understand our Lord's power to inspire and guide us in the growth of our Christian faith. Our Ministers provide the teaching and preaching we seek, with our choice of attending traditional services practiced by Methodists for years, or a Contemporary Service beginning at 8:30. A choir and praise leader help us rejoice in music, our Sunday school teachers guide us in Bible study, and our youth remind us of the energy and enthusiasm that would serve us all well. An atmosphere of fellowship surrounds us.
Our gathering does not end on Sunday, since there is continuing activity throughout the week. Our women's group, men's group, youth group, and choir, will all find joyous opportunities to meet and share fellowship in their activities. There will usually be several meetings devoted to Bible study, and there will be groups assembling to plan visits to the sick and shut-ins.
We embrace the spirit of serving others by offering volunteer work in the hospital, schools, library, nursing home, charity to the less fortunate, prisoners and families, and wherever the Lord helps us see a need.
A church in a small town is often the focal point for both spiritual and social events. We sponsor area-wide meetings for both women and men, create several dinners and invite the whole community, our choir creates musical events open to everyone, and we treat the school teachers to an annual luncheon as they begin each new year. We share a strong bond of love within our community.
