Adult Ministries

 

Shepherd Groups - Our congregation has been divided into five shepherd groups: the 356 group, the WWS BBQ’s, the Lambs, the Lamplighters, and the Family.  Each shepherd group has the responsibility to look after and report on any of its member needs or illnesses. Meeting times vary, but members keep touch through the telephone prayer chain.  Member meetings might consist of devotionals, food, and fellowship. Upon joining Trinity FUMC you will be assigned a shepherd group nearest you.  Contact person:  Bobbie Ledbetter (594-9245)

 

United Methodist Women - Trinity FUMC has an active group of women who meet regularly at 9:30 the second Monday of each month, September through May.  Our UMW is a group committed to missions, focusing on spiritual growth.   Sponsorship of Classical music in conjunction with the Piatigorsky Foundation, and sponsorship of the Little House resale shop are two of many on-going projects. United Methodist Men - The mission of the General Commission on United Methodist Men is to assist men to know Jesus Christ, to serve Him, to grow spiritually and seek daily to do his will.  Official website

Trinity UMM meet each month on the third Monday. Attendants enjoy breakfast, fellowship, prayer and service beginning at 8:00 a.m. Occasionally our organization have women to join us for our fellowship.

New Beginnings - GRIEF SUPPORT is offered in a group setting each Monday beginning at 2:30 in the church basement. The group is led by a dedicated licensed Christian counselor. Regardless of your religious affiliation, if you are suffering, please consider attending with our leader Marlene Underwood.  Contact person:  Marlene (594-7088)

 

Alzheimer’s Caretakers Support Group - Our certified counselor Marlene Underwood leads a support group for caretakers of family members with Alzheimer's Disease.  We invite you to join our supportive discussion group at the church..  The group meets the second and fourth Monday of each month at 1:00 p.m. Contact Person:  Marlene Underwood (594-7088)

 

Celebration - The purpose of Celebration (Official website) is to strengthen and enrich the spiritual lives of women by helping them discover and grow in the fullness of life that God intended.  This non-denominational organization is a ministry for women focusing on salvation, healing, and equipping.  Meetings are held in the Activity Center of Trinity FUMC the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00.  After a light dinner is served, women participate in praise and worship of our Lord. J Wood Memorial Library - Our library has been updated by Ken Carlisle.  It houses a host of resources for people of all ages, including books, references, devotional materials, videos and audio cassettes.  The library is located in the North side of the building behind the sanctuary.  Contact person:  Ken Carlisle (594-3865)
